PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Association of Virgin Islands Psychologists is certified by the American Psychological Association Office of Continuing Education Sponsor Approval (CESA) to provide professional development programs that adhere to the detailed requirements for the granting of the CE. AVIP has been awarded a 5 five-year certification that expires in 2024. Annual reports are submitted each year. The current certification is provided.

As a service to the broader Virgin Islands community and to our colleagues in the region, AVIP provides an annual complimentary training. In June of 2022, Dr. Debbie Sorensen presented on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The resources noted in the training along with the training link are provided as a continuing service.
